| Play audio CDs with Winamp automatically
If you have a version of Winamp that can play compact discs, check out Winamp Autoplay Extender. This free utility makes it possible for Winamp to pop up to play your CDs -- instead of using the Windows 95/98 CD player -- when you insert an audio CD into your CD-ROM drive. Options let you check for a default CD player at system startup, queue files to a playlist, and launch a new instance of Winamp whenever an audio CD is played. You can also use the utility to run a different player besides Winamp or the Windows CD player. Reviewed on Sep 12 1998. |
